Christmas Time

I have been very busy in the past few weeks knitting, sewing, stuffing and threading in preparation for a Local Christmas Fair. I will be holding a stall at Austerfield Study Centre in a few weeks time and below are a few of my creations. The snowmen and santa's will be making another appearance this year as they were a massive hit last year.

Knitting

I have been busy recently knitting these cardigans for a friend in the Isle of Man. I knitted for the friend when they first had their little girl and they loved them so much that they asked for some more. Here they are, below.

Latest Venture

I have recently joined a club called Thimbles.  We meet on a Friday afternoon for a drink and a natter and everyone brings with them the craft they are undertaking at the time whether it be knitting, cross stitch, quilting etc.  It is nice meet with people who enjoy crafting.  The club also knit hats for premature babies (ones I  have made in the photo) and also hats, gloves and scarves to send to Romania.

With my Chrstmas money I bought the Ultinate Pro by Crafters Companion from Create and Craft, it was in the sale.  We were given lots of chocolates at christmas so I made some boxes and decorated them.  I put cellophane inside the boxes and filled them with chocolates.  Then wrapped them in cellophane and finished off with a bow.  These were then given as gifts.

I-pod socks

These are my latest knitted projects, i-pod socks. Hannah wanted me to make one for her friend.  The first attempt, which was very much trial and error, the black and white one, was for Hannah's friend she was very pleased with it.  Then there was no stopping me.  Katie said what about one with a flap over so I had a go at one, Hannah had a spare button.  She decided she was having that one for her i-pod and I made her another without the flap for her phone.

I cast on 40 stitches, some I did knit 1 purl 1, some knit 2 purl 2, either 2 or 4 rows of each colour, measuring 13cm and then cast off and sewed the bottom and side.
